About Me I am a retired nurse in real life, and a widow. I love Renn Faires and Scottish Gatherings where I can see men in kilts. I am an animal rights activitist. I collect knives and swords, but am just starting out on that. I also am learning about herbs and making soaps.

Music Celtic, classical, classic rock, metal, Christian, blues, jazz...love the bagpipes. Love NeedFire and the Wicked Tinkers.

Movies Historical, action, fantasy, adventure, Sci-fi, comedies...Braveheart, Rob Roy, 13th Warrior, Dragon Heart, King Arthur, The Last Legion, The Fifth Element, Star Wars and Star Trek, 300,Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, I think this gives you an idea of the kinds of movies I like.

TV Moonlight, Bones, LOST, CSI, NCIS, Without A Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, American Idol (Go David Cook!), History channel, Food Network, HGTV, Animal Planet, National Geographic, Robin Hood, Dr Who, Torchwood, Numbers, old movies in black and white.

Books Dean Koontz is the master, and Andre Norton is the Queen! I like historical fiction as long as it is accurate, no romances, please! Fantasy, sci-fi, thrillers, suspense. Started the Left Behind series last week.

Likes I like animals, music, living in the country, going to Renn Faires, Scottish Gatherings, being with my family and friends, and reading. I love chocolate!

Dislikes I dislike dishonesty, and I dislike people who look down on others because they deem them to be less than they are.

Hobbies Reenactment, reading, writing, sewing, cooking, herbs, soap making, animal fostering, gardening, movies and listening to music.

Tulsa Scottish Festival next weekend!

I am very very excited that it is that time of year again. The Tulsa Scottish Festival is September 12, 13, and 14th this year at the River Park West. CAN'T WAIT!

The Wicked Tinkers are back this year, thank God, along with NeedFire. Great groups making great music.

Hope some of ya'll can make it out to this festival.

Extra Large sewing patterns

I am looking for somewhere I can find plus size patterns over the size of 22-24 for women's bodices, dresses, and pants. I am not a great seamstress, just learning in fact. I have no idea where to find the sizes I need. If anyone can help me, I would sure appreciate it!
